Purpose of Job:- The purpose of this position is to provide effective engineering and maintenance services covering the power supply for Dubai Metro.
Job Skills and Experience.
• To conduct corrective/preventive maintenance /installation in 750V DC traction, transmission and distribution, 132kV/33kV transformers, reactors, condensers, earthing transformer, high speed DC circuit breakers, cabling system, 3rd rail electrification, power sub-stations and ancillary plant etc.
• Operating SCADA control and configuring programmable logic controllers.
• Ability to use and calibrate various electrical and electronics test equipment and PC for the maintenance of power supply system;
• Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required, Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities;
• Carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications on power supply system covering H.V. traction power supplies, stray current & EMC monitoring, sub-stations, L.V. systems & emergency power supplies, uninterrupted power supplies, portable electrical equipment, L.V. main switch and any other parts within the power supply system;
• Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment; replace faulty equipment and handover/taken back to the electrical workshop for repair;
• Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records of power supply system and equipment performance, work accomplished and other information using a computerized maintenance management system;
Inspection of LV/HV Electricity distribution, Panels, Transformers, CT operated energy Meters, inspection of new connections electricity CT meters attend the consumers complaints regarding Electricity Meters and Detection of Un-authorized direct electricity connection cases, and checking of accuracy of electricity meters reported by Meter Reader, Validation Staff, Superior suspect faulty electric Meters.
Duties and Responsibilities.
Periodical inspection of CT/VT operated electricity-metering equipments with LV/HV Panels for accuracy and reporting faulty meter and wrong wiring cases for rectification.
Operating the test instruments PWS 2.3Plus, check meter 2.4, PWS 1.3 and Power Analyzer for inspection of energy meters.
Inspection of new connection CT/VT operated metering equipments with LV/HV Panels and reporting faulty/wrong wiring meters cases for rectification.
Checking accuracy of electricity meters on the consumer’s compliant for the high consumption/cross connection and preparing inspection reports.
Checking of accuracy of electricity meters on the report of meter Reader, Validation staff or by the superior and reporting faulty meter cases for replacement/repair by engineering department.
Checking of un-authorized direct connection or un-metered or partially un-metered and reporting such cases for necessary action.
Preparing estimated consumption charges electric for un-billed consumption of un authorized direct connection cases.
Study of auditor reports concerning to Meter Performance Unit and taking suitable action on the recommendation and also prepare draft for the response of auditor’s report.
Maintaining inspection record on daily weekly and monthly.
Follow up the commissioning reports of metering equipment /metered sub station received from engineering department.
Preparation of supplementary bills.
Working / update data in SAP, CRM, Reflection soft wares.
Supervision of installations of electrical cables and other equipments with good selection of cables according to demand of electricity, including cable laying and termination.
Planning and Estimating of Addition of HV/LV Lines/cables and other equipments in already existing according to increasing of demand of electricity.
Make new proposals of HV/LV Lines/cables for electrification for newly constructed areas.
Extension of load as replacement of existing lines/transformer according to new demand of electricity.
Estimating and installations of energy meters and transformers.
Supervision of emergency consumer complaint regarding electricity.
Supervision 0f maintenance and fault rectification of 11 KV /400V. Lines and Transformers for Distribution purpose.
Supervisions of customer’s complaints regarding energy meters, Electrical lines/cables and transformers.
Installation of MDI (CT Operated Meter) equipments and HV/LV cables from main line to consumer utilities.
Fault detection and rectifying in MDI (CT Operated Meter) equipment.
Replacement of faulty cables and other electrical equipments.
Checking of accuracy and theft detections of energy meters at site.
Calibration of single& three-phase energy meters.
Preparation of detection bills.
Preparing monthly progress report of their inspections and other work of the section.
