• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes within the Oracle ERP environment.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete posting of all journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Oversee sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations (AP, AR, FA, Inventory, etc.).
• Prepare or review month-end close checklists, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Ensure all relevant closing tasks are completed in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP, as
applicable).
• Reconcile prior months' ledgers and sub-ledgers; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Work with relevant departments (e.g. Procurement, AP, Finance Operations) to validate transactions and
source documentation.
• Correct and post historical data where necessary to facilitate the closing of pending financial periods.
• Review and document existing financial close procedures and identify process gaps.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline future month-end closes.
• Support audit requirements (internal and external) with clear documentation and reconciled financials.
• Partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment in closing activities.
• Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying
opportunities for improvement.
• Overall financial forecast, cash flows, funding requirements, and cost of capital, and conduct internal studies
in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain all records for easy audit purposes.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action
items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance (e.g., VAT, corporate tax) .
• Manage and review tax returns and filings .
• Liaise with tax authorities and handle audit
