Planning, Feasibility study and Design for the Northern and Central Industrial Zones for Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (SEZAD), Oman:
The total area for northern and central zones is 221.75 km square. These areas have been earmarked for development in the early phases of the SEZ’s long-term evolution into one of the world’s largest industrial and logistics hubs.
Responsibilities Included:
• Develop a Concept Surface Transport Master Plan for the Northern and Central Industrial Zones by studying various alternatives and developing plans for the primary and secondary roadway networks and defining the best route (corridor) for the proposed railroad.
• Create a planning report for roads design based on Oman Highway Design Manual and AASHTO.
• Prepare final concept design drawings.
Preliminary and Detailed Design for Road 32: a 16.5 Kilometres Rural road inside DUQM project with several roundabouts and Bridge.
Responsibilities Included:
1. Design horizontal, vertical alignments and setting out details, ensure that intersections are designed according to safety measures as per Oman Highway Design Manual.
2. Design a 1.25 kilometres bridge over 1 kilometre water channel (Wadi).
3. Prepare road signing, marking and typical cross section drawings.
Preliminary design for South Light Industrial Area: a 25 square kilometres area with total of 107 Kilometres Urban Roads.
Responsibilities Included:
1. Design Roads layout for the whole area taking in consideration existing roads, wadiis and the traffic study.
2. Design horizontal alignments, superelevation and vertical alignments.
3. Prepare road signing and marking drawings.
