Mr. Taimoor Ali is a MS-Scholar in Management Sciences from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technologies (SZABIST) and has served in Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for more than 9 years. Mr. Taimoor worked in Human Resource, Professional Development, Training and Organizational Development, Corporate Supervision department. He has professional experience in core operational functions of the Commission i.e. dealt the matters regarding capital issues of the listed companies and compliance and development of Code of Corporate Governance and Beneficial Ownership of the Listed Companies, which are considered core functions of this organization. During his tenure at Corporate Supervision Department, he was actively engaged in formulation of guidelines of Code of Corporate Governance as well as corresponded with the listed companies and the approved institutes for the directors training programs (mandatory requirement of the Code of Corporate Governance) by SECP to ensure meticulous compliance of certification by directors of the listed companies. He has also contributed in the formulation of Database of approved independent directors by Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG). Mr. Taimoor was actively involved in the research work on amendments in Capital Issues Rules, Code of Corporate Governance in light of international jurisdictions.
Ha has also been a part of academia and has worked as visiting faculty member in Riphah International University Islamabad.
