- Read blueprints and specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
- Accept or reject finished items
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected
- Supervise day-to-day operations in a warehouse.
- Supervise loading and unloading operations.
- Prepare shipping documentation and other related paperwork.
- Supervise forklift and pallet jack operations.
- Order, receive and maintain equipment, materials and tools.
- Supervise counting, weighing and identifying of materials meant for shipment.
- Check materials against customer orders, picking lists and billings.
- Develop annual department budget.
- Check and verify materials in warehouse periodically.
- Maintain records of equipment, materials and products
Initially I worked as operator in JESCO factory warehouse for pipes storage.
Proper storing of received materials.
Year-end inventory.
Responsible in receiving and issuance of the following :
Spare parts of motors, cranes and machines in Production.
Other consumables items such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), stickers for zebra printer, woods, pipe end protectors,
Other Chemicals required in Production such as paint, varnish.
I worked in the logistics department in Despatcher where we receive pipes and store them together depending on the specifications, size and type of Customer.
As Shipping Foreman, I’m handling supervision of:
Pipes shipping to our customers which involves the checking of pipe IDs and preparation of Load Request and Delivery Notes.
Receiving of bars from Port is also under my supervision which includes recording of the details of the bars, printing of barcode sticker and weighing in and out of the trucks.
Able to deal with SAP system and Enter, update data through computers.
