this jobs responsibility is to prepare standards for Spatial data infrastructure programme like metadata, spatial data sets, prepare metadata profile, working on spatial data analysis using ArcGIS sotware and Erdas imagine.
since it is providing a training for the trainers with the new TVET system, i have a responsibility of designing projects for the trainees, prepare TTLM, season plan and develop curriculum.
The programme is intended to train professional in GIS and RS with Geographic and other environmental BSc back Grounds. through this programme important modules and applications are learnt. the programme needs a master thesis for final graduation. in this work i work on a project entitled as" water balance modeling in north eastern wabi-shebelle river basin:case of erer watershed in Ethiopia"using Arc SWAT 2009 software and a got a "very good" mark
It is a 3 year programme. It helps the trainee to equip with basic natural resource management concepts and environmental problem identification mitigation measures. it also helps the student to have a knowledge of environmental impact assessment technique(EIA) to mention some.
