Electrical Maintenance Manager at Ceramic Lecico
  • Egypt - Alexandria
  • My current job since September 2006

My main role is to research, identify, design, install, develop, test & maintain control systems;
the role involves working in a large team of engineers & scientists who work closely with
production staff, the focus of my work is ensuring that manufacturing processes operate both
efficiently & safely.
The systems for which I'm responsible are the instrumentation, electronics & computers that
control a process. I'm also responsible for planning & coordinating the technical design &
engineering implementation of project work.
I'm responsible for routine maintenance because complex modern plants depend critically on
carefully planned maintenance to avoid expensive shut-downs.
I'm involved in projects from conception through development to acceptance testing & handover;
within these projects I work in multidisciplinary teams, not only with engineers from other
specializations, but also with architects & technicians. I have the ability to work alongside others
both in a team & a supervisory role.
• My activities include:
Designing, installing & maintaining instruments or control equipment & systems to indicate,
Measure or, where necessary, record specific aspects of a production process & operating plant.
Testing & calibrating instruments. Safety fail-safe alarm devices are important features in any
control system.
Identifying technologies for new applications.
Supporting the project team objectives.
Offering technical support.
Reading design specifications & technical drawings.
Monitoring a product in use so as to improve on future design.
