Formulate short and long-term sales strategy as to systematically achieve the overall set
targets, in line with Trade strategy.
Establish and Coordinate the Implementation of the country business plan in accordance
with the APL Trades’ objectives.
Lead and manage a team of sales representatives and implement sales activities in
order to achieve team volumes and targets as well as maximal allocation utilization.
Achieve customer satisfaction and smooth communication between sales team and other
internal processes as well as external customers.
Review and evaluate sales performance VS. The budget. Identify areas of improvement and
develop tactical action plan, re-align sales strategies whenever needed to meet the plan.
Utmost focus on revenue, contribution and utilization / allocation analysis to meet
prescribed budgets.
Maximize cargo loading on vessels and selecting best cargo-mix in full ship situation,
optimize the use of the assets and applying the principle of yield management.
Identify and implement training programmers to develop a high performance and
knowledgeable organization.
Mobilize and optimize sales resources to exploit market potential and elevate brand name.
Meet other goals and objectives set by the Cluster Commercial Head and the management.
Maintain current business and identify opportunities to maximize market share for all trades.
Develop a high-level account plan with prioritization / segmentation to ensure sales
efforts are optimized for the right value customers.
Staying abreast of general business, market development, industry and economic changes.
Market intelligence gathering / dissemination to internal stakeholders.
Direct the activities of the Sales Team to ensure all staff are motivated to attain
predetermined sales targets and fully briefed on necessary actions
Egypt focal point for the APL Trade Groups, translate Trade strategy and objectives into a
local business plan and disseminate information to internal stakeholders as required
Alignment between Central Trade and local Sales Teams to optimize yield.
Ensure Optimum vessel utilization and yield through effective allocation management
Achieve Revenue and Revenue contribution maximization through yield analysis and
customer segmentation planning
Confirm the prices for Pick Up / Drop Off special deals proposed by Sales
Ensure that best business practice is adhered to, particularly in relation to trade regulations
and competition law compliance
Work with Trades on pricing and set spot pricing, inland pricing and other local pricing
Give direction and Leadership to the Sales and Trade teams.
Develop and drive initiatives to improve productivity and cost savings and ensure an
efficient
