• Financial Reporting:
- Monitor the overall accounting activities of the company to ensure the accurate and timely recording.
- In charge of the financial accounting function by preparing financial reports that included Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Statements of Retained Earnings, and Cash Flow Statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Contact with the banks to get the bank facilities and follow up the bank facilities position on daily basis in order to control the cash management.
- Liaise with the External Auditors on an on-going basis and review and approve the final draft financial statements for the company.
- Develop and execute the budget and internal control.
- Prepare the proper financial analysis such as account receivables and account payables ageing report.
• Group Consolidations:
- Working with CFO of group subsidiaries to develop consolidated financial statements.
- Receiving and assimilating reporting packs from all subsidiaries to produce aggregate balances on a line-by-line basis.
- Preparing inter-corporate eliminations of the consolidation process.
- Reconcile differences between subsidiary and corporate balances.
• Accounting Information System:
- Ensure that all financial data produced by the ERP is accurate and dependable.
- Supervising new ERP implementations by reviewing the accounting treatment, designing the accounting chart and testing the results to control the accounting cycle.
- Managing the ERP Consolidation Module to maintain controls over period closing and chart changes.
• Budgeting and Internal Control:
- Developing, adapting and improving information systems for use by directors and budget holders.
- Manage the budgetary control processes to reduce the cost within finance department.
- Review and develop improvements for internal control, financial policies and procedures.
- Establish the Group’s financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Financial Analysis:
- Reviewing the receivables aging report to ensure timely credit control over customers to expedite collections.
- Reviewing the payables aging report on a regular basis to ensure payments balances are not over-due; and negotiate credit and payment terms with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Other Duties:
- To select, train, direct, and mentor the necessary accounting staff to ensure smooth functioning of the finance department in accordance with company procedures, policies and accounting systems.
- Coordinate inter-department reviews done by senior accountants over other department members.
