*Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
*Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsible for:
• Devise marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing product awareness and increasing sales and profits.
• Work closely with marketing teams to create programs.
• Track market and company sales performance.
• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
* coordinate with the head office and other branch locations.
* supervising staff and entails responsibilities such as ensuring employees’ salaries are paid and that leave and other entitlements are provided for.
* Ensuring customer satisfaction is also part of the job.
* determine and manage a budget, ensuring that funds are allocated appropriately and for the benefit of the wider organisation in order to meet its objectives.
* maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
* negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
* representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
* challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
* aiming to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensure that the needs of customers are being satisfied and provide excellent customer service.
• Handling face-to-face enquiries from customers and exceed their expectations if possible.
