Real Estate Consultant
Working as a consultant with Beit Al Raya Real Estate Company (part of Kuwait Finance House) on their projects in Jordan. Currently developing a plan to utilize a plot of land owned by the company that is estimated at US$ 20million and preparing development and investment solutions for the company to adopt
Leading a team of catering managers in addition to overseeing banquet operations (pre and during events). Running the daily catering sales department operations with duties such as, but not limited to: Weekly, monthly & annual forecasting - budgeting, selling strategies, setting individual goals for the team and maximizing yield, creating new menus, creating sales packages, writing and discussing performance reviews, guest complaint handling over all areas, heavily involved in most of hotel’s operation.
Job description to include, but not limited to:
-The ability to develop banquet menus and pricing structures based on local competitive analysis
-The ability to conduct weekly meetings with support departments
-The ability to maintain the banquet area, in conjunction with the banquet manager (cleanliness, repairs of equipment, etc.) in accordance with hotel standards
-The ability to coordinate details of daily events with the Chef, Banquet Chef and the Banquet Manager
-The ability to supervise the execution of banquet events to insure high standards of food, beverage and service
-The ability to monitor all departmental weekly expenses, i.e. payroll, utility and food and beverage costs, etc
-The ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals, as well as manage the sales goals and objectives of the catering management team
-The ability to coordinate the aggressive sales efforts of the Catering department to solicit business
-The ability to supervise and direct the work of all employees in the Catering Department
-The ability to conduct weekly Catering Sales meetings and attend all required meetings
-The ability to complete and conduct performance evaluations for catering staff
-The ability to maintain a thorough concept of food cost and menu planning
-The ability to prepare weekly and monthly forecasts and the annual budget for labor and revenues
-The ability to recommend the hiring, terminating, or disciplining of any employee
In charge of all corporate catering business at the hotel, outside catering bookings and events, up scale social events, corporate and social groups (from a call or a walk in stage until the completion of the event), in addition to all duties performed as Catering Sales Executive
In charge of meetings and large scale conferences, social and corporate groups, organizing weddings and social events, corporate gala dinners, car launches, direct contact with GMs, MDs and CEOs of all the leading companies in Jordan. Manager on Duty rotation (being in charge of running the daily operations of the entire hotel) as of June 2004
