Unique Indo-Japan Fund of Funds (FoF) investing in Indian VCs Mar 2022 to Present
• Role involves evaluating tech-focused early & growth stage venture capital funds in India. FoF seeks to invest in 15-25 VC funds with a ticket size of $3 mn - $10 mn in each fund, across vintages and first / second time managers.
Role involves sourcing and evaluating deep tech / science investments and portfolio management of companies
via board observer-ship. Co-ownership of the entire relationship with the portfolio companies.
o Independence and responsibility of sourcing and execution of investments as the sole deal manager, with
support from the Partner. Play a lead role across the deal cycle in business due diligence, IC presentation,
negotiations and portfolio strategy. Support fundraising, LP sourcing and investor relationships for the fund.
o Manage external relationships with Investment Bankers, Lawyers, Auditors and Financial consultants.
o Board Observer on portfolio companies - Biotech Company, AgriTech Venture and an EduTech Start-up.
o Value-add to investee companies / promoters on strategy, business plan and budgets, financial analysis,
competition analysis, enabling introductions/connects and mentorship.
o Represent the fund is investor conferences and webinars and monitor market trends and regulations.

An Associate role that involved due diligence, financial modelling, portfolio management, IC memo preparation
for investments in the South & South East Asia region.
o Led the fund’s portfolio management activities by working closely with founders and co-investors.
o Data analysis to help investee companies to capture/present insights and consult/handhold the promoter for
multiple fundraises and investor outreach.
o Travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia for new-fund research, market landscaping and new fund entry
strategy.
