Transmission Responsibilities:
•My core responsibility is to provide Level-II support to Transmission NOC during any issue related Transmission core Network that comprises of 25 sites of Huawei SDH Optix OSN 7500/3500, Metro 1000, 100, 1500.
•Responsible for new SDH/IP elements deployment, system extensions and new software up-grades in order to meet capacity and quality requirements.
•Daily reports analysis regarding fiber breakdowns, to improve service delivery, maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and proactively manage service degradation across WorldCALL’s hybrid network.
•Coordinate with regional Team during Commissioning, Troubleshooting & Testing of transmission links IPLCs/DPLCs circuits (E1, DS3, and STM-N), DIUs across all over Pakistan.
•Coordination with Huawei and other vendors/interconnect partners for routine up-going issue on behalf of transmission department.
•Monitoring of Transmission/IP network using NMS tools including Optix iManager T2000, N2000 NMS, putty server and Open NMS to insure network availability and alarms on NMS to solve the Trouble Ticket and report to regional NOC.
•Taking necessary backups of all transmission nodes on Weekly basis.
•Maintenance and monitoring of all Transmission/IP/NGN and power equipment present at site and timely reporting of malfunctioning of any equipment.
•Supervise site staff to ensure timely maintenance of all devices, infrastructure and environment at all remote
Sites.
•Managing teams for providing on Site support to customer for fault restoration as per SOP.
•Responsible for reconciliation of BOQ verification with vendor as per the equipment received.
•Site surveys and preparation of system design diagram to check the feasibility and circumstances for the installation of IP/NGN/SDH Equipment’s.
•Data Management and record keeping of all circuits operational on Transmission Network.
Main Achievements:
•Configuration of SDH services of different levels (VC12/VC3/VC4/).
•Completed SNCP, MSP (1+1), MSP (Ring) implementation on metro nodes to avoid outage in case of fiber breaks.
•SDH nodes integration into the STM-64 MSP ring.
•Complete Ethernet service configuration.
•SDH link up-gradation from STM-16 to STM-64, STM-4 to STM-16.
•Changing the spur link topology into ring topology.
•Segregation of fiber routes for metro and long haul networks.
•Installation and configuration of Cisco routers and switches at different sites.
•Coordinate with regional team for Patching, Commissioning and troubleshooting of DPLCs E1s, E3s DIUs for the LDI POPs across the Pakistan.
•Liaison with all Interconnects operators like PTCL, GSM operator for E1s expansion & troubleshooting on behalf of NSS department.
•Monitoring and Alarms handling of Fiber (E1/E3) links across all over Pakistan with coordination of site engineers of different regions for troubleshooting of media related issues.
•Maintenance and monitoring of all transmission, data and power equipment present at site and timely reporting of malfunctioning of any equipment.
•Installation and configuration of Cisco routers and switches at different sites.
•Monitoring of satellite modems i.e. EbNo, power in and out, temperatures, signal strength and output load at Lahore.
•Installation of Media Gateways Siemens Media Gateways HiG1000 and HiG1100, Siemens SDH at Different POPs.
•Installation and maintenance of Compression Equipment (Neura), Veraz DCME which is used for the International Routed Traffic.
•Designing of new circuits/infrastructure on MS VISIO and detail diagram.
Projects participation:
•Responsible to manage Installation, commissioning and (PAT) of Huawei Optix OSN 3500 & OSN 7500 with vendor at 25 different sites across all over Pakistan to meet LDI, WLL & HE operations.
•Responsible to manage Installation and (PAT) of Huawei NGN/Power equipment including (2 Softx3000, 17 UMG8900 with vendor at different sites across all over Pakistan.
•Responsible to manage Installation and commissioning of Compression Equipment Veraz DCME IGATE 4000 which is used for the International Routed Traffic.
