Responsible for ensuring that all activities carried out in the terminal and tanker jetty areas are undertaken in a safe and environmentally correct manner, and to strive for zero accidents Supervise operations in compliance.
•Optimize the terminal and jetty operations staff to achieve maximum efficiency and to ensure that the client products enter and leave the terminal storage with minimal loss and with product integrity intact.
•To ensure that all operators are properly trained, to recommend additional training where deficiencies are noted, and to recognize other means of training that will be of benefit to the terminal operations staff.
•To prepare and present daily shift reports to the Terminal Operations Manager as requested
•To recommend operational improvements where needed to enhance safe operations
•Supervises and coordinates day-to-day operational activities at proprietary terminal including product receipts, transfers, marine receiving and loading, loading rack operations, product deliveries, product exchanges, tank field operations, quality control, routine maintenance, OE/HES, stock control and reconciliation consistent with clean, safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally sound operations. Oversee compliance to internal controls, reporting and documentation
•Take overall charge of the Department of approximately 100 staff and workforce, develop policies and procedures for the efficient functioning of all activities of the department, including but not limited to Terminal and jetty Operations, safety, security and environment.
•In particular, operational activities are undertaken to optimize jetty utilization, throughput rates are up to set parameters and operations are carried out in accordance with set quality and safety standards and in an environmentally friendly manner and that all regulatory requirements are complied with.
•Conduct and arrange for staff/ worker training to achieve efficiency and improved performance in a cost effective manner.
Handling shipment through jetty lines of terminal,
•Liquid Tanker & ships (Fuels, crude oil & base oils) Loading and Unloading.
•Manpower supervision and Planning.
•Complete knowledge of Loading containers/Off loadings.
•Maintenance safe environment at all the time
•Weigh all tankers/trailers and keep records.
•Preparing delivery orders and invoice for Outgoing Materials.
•Preparation receipt from all incoming materials.
•Update all records for all dispatches and receipts.
