Job Responsibilities:
•Ensure that all work executed by the construction contractor is carried out in a professional, safe & environmentally friendly manner at all times.
•Supervise the major modifications and corrective maintenance on existing installations (CPF, water treatment plant…)
•Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning for the electrical installations (CPF, solar panels, water treatment plan, camps, UPS)
•Prepare ITPS
•Provide assurance that all construction activities are performed in full compliance with required Codes/Standards/Specifications and Engineering Drawings
•Assist in the preparation, review and implementation of risk assessments and method statements for planned construction activities
•Developing work pack and drawings.
•Ensure the correct implementation of the IA Control of Work Standard (including the Permit to Work system) at all construction sites
•Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure that planned progress is being met and identify necessary mitigating actions to recover progress delays
•Utilize the established Management of Change (MOC) and Site Technical Query (STQ) procedures for addressing construction changes/issues in the field
•Verify that materials are at site as planned, preserved and prepared for delivery to the contractors and follow up contractor in this respect
•Ensure that all material movements are documented and reporting any shortage, overage or damaged material in cooperation with Construction and Material Control
•Interface with other key personnel in the Projects team
•Identify and report all electrical/instrumentation integrity anomalies to the QC Manager
•Perform inspections and prepare punch lists; and ensure punch list items are cleared in a timely manner and completed in accordance with Codes/Standards/Specifications and Engineering Drawings
•Conduct audits with the support of the QC Manager, on contractors construction activities, camps and fabrication facilities
•Ensure that all field marked up drawings are correct and all information has been identified
•Planning and Supervision of sub-contractors daily work schedules
•Area Authority for signing permits
•Supervision and training of National E&I Inspectors
•Follow the requirements of the Engineering Work Pack through to completion
•Ensure the guidelines of GoC Certification are being followed
•Witness and sign off GoC Certificates
•Take part in MC1 walkdowns
•Assist Engineering and Commissioning in SH1 completion
•Provide and participate in the provision of mentoring and training of nationals
