• Oversee the overall management of the project internally and the lead interface with the Client project team.
• Manage the project through its lifecycle, starting from project conception, development of the project plan, budget, schedule, procurement and contracting strategies, through the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and close out phases.
• Coordinate project team members, contractors, vendors to ensure cost effective, efficient, quality, safe and timely completion of the project in order to meet client expectations
• Oversee, direct, and empower the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects.
• Provide and maintain status reports to the client and high management regarding the overall project progress and performance.
• Develop relationship and maintain communication channels with Clients, stakeholders and team members to ensure that work flows smoothly as well as providing efficient project delivery services.
• Ensures the efficiency, quality and performance of the engineering, procurement, and construction work to meet project objectives.
• Manage scope changes proactively and ensure that the change orders with cost impact are issued and approved by the Client..
• Delivering all site-wide construction activities, through the supervision of all packages and relevant sub-consultants and contractors.
• Attend regular progress meeting with Client and different stakeholders.
• Carrying out the turnover planning, forecasting, controlling, monitoring and reporting on all assigned project figures KPI’s on a monthly basis.
• Oversee the review and the approval of the Claims, the monthly payment of the Contractors and the Variation Orders prior the final submission to the Client.
• Manage the testing and commissioning and close out teams to get the Building Completion Certificate upon the final approval from the Client and the local authority such as: MEW, Civil Defense, etc.
• Define and prepare program goals, execution plan, QA/QC management procedure, HSE plan, matrix of responsibilities, risk mitigation register and cost management procedure.
• Manage the construction management team across various disciplines.
• Review the overall status of all the activities & report the progress of all the project`s aspects to the Client.
• Participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for the construction project and provide conceptual estimates, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Attending weekly meetings (progress, coordination, planning, commissioning, design, etc.) with all the stakeholders and the lient to discuss key issues related to the project and take the necessary actions accordingly.
• Liaise with Client senior management and ensures good relations are maintained through.
• Controls the design variations, scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved by the client.
• Monitors contractors and vendor performance and contributes to project evaluation of these in project close-out reports.
• Monitors productivity and cost and implements appropriate action to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost-effectiveness
• Manage & coordinate the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, commissioning and handover on a timely and economical basis.
• Prepare and review the commissioning procedures for the different electrical and fire alarm systems necessary to safely start up the facilities.
• Put in place and manage testing team, ensure that members have the necessary knowledge, skills and familiar with the different test equipment to carry on the tests.
• Manage testing equipment at site such as: digital multi-meter, Primary injection test set, Secondary injection test set, Wattmeter, Primary injection sets, CT analyzer, ductor tester... etc. and ensure their calibration certificates are valid.
• Liaise with design teams, suppliers, subcontractors, installation teams to ensure that equipment /plant and processes are delivered for the commissioning activity within schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical input and expertise to the commissioning team at site, Sub-contractors/Sub-suppliers electrical in order to ensure applicable standards are maintained.
• Ensure that all drawings will be marked up (if necessary) by the testing team, so after commissioning As built drawings can be produced.
• Conduct primary technical reviews on assigned design deliverables related to electrical equipment/systems design & calculations, Single Line (SLDs), Schematic and Cable Block Diagrams, relevant technical specifications, and procurement/tendering packages so they comply with the project specification, international codes and standards
• Directing a team of engineers and supervisors to achieve the planned schedule.
• Ensuring that the site work is executed according to the contract approved specifications,
quality and safety procedures and within the assigned budget and time schedule.
• Coordinating with other disciplines (Piping, Equipment, Steel structure, Civil and Scaffolding).
• Ensuring optimum utilization of the allocated manpower, material, tools and equipments.
• Preparing project status reports to project Director and provide updates on activities.
• Keep a track on discipline project progress, monitor and control man-hours consumption.
• Provide technical input and expertise to site engineers, supervisors, Sub-contractors/Sub-suppliers electrical in order to ensure applicable standards are maintained
• Identifying project risks and initiating measures for risk mitigation.
• Manage and supervise the installation of varied electrical and instrumentation equipment such as: HV/LV switchgears, bus ducts, Main distribution board, lighting panels, UPS, MCC`s, Power factor capacitor, Transformer, Generator, fire alarm devices, BMS system..etc
• Follow all relevant company’s HSE policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work
• Ensure contractor’s approved lTP`s and QCP`s are adhered for the applicable construction activities and that these documents are signed-off by relevant parties Diagrams, relevant technical specifications, and procurement/tendering packages so they comply with the project specification, international codes and standards
• Ensure QC Inspections on daily activities at site are carried out by the designed inspectors
• Provide technical support to the sub-Contractor`s personnel related to project quality objectives, codes, standards and specification requirements
• Review test results, test reports and confirm that reviews have been undertaken and that project requirements have been verified as being met
• Review and verification of Punch Lists for appropriate endorsement and close-out
• Issue non conformity report whenever the quality of work is not curried out as per the approved quality control documents
