As Operations Director of SBG, Tarek augmented all functions through planning and directing organisational operations, identified and utilised opportunities within the Group for stronger performance improvement
•Devised and implemented effective methods and strategies to improve performance of local and foreign engineers productivity, quality and safety. Tarek’s objective as part of the Group’s direction during shifts in the Kingdom was to assure continuity of the future projects by focusing on strengthening SBG relationships, tendering, and business development. Therefore, Tarek played an integral role in long term development in operational control and excellence.
•Improved operational and safety systems, processes, quality and policies in support of organisations mission to support better management reporting, information flow and management. Tarek’s vision and close relationship with engineers and change management team assisted to reach the desired goal.
Projects: The Kingdom Tower, Jeddah 1000m, tallest skyscraper in the world (USD 1.5bn, MEP works) King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (USD 1.86bn MEP Works), Ajyad Hospital & Hotel - 186m high rise building, (USD 400 Million, MEP works)
Tarek worked directly with IPC executive team and successfully diversified the company service provision and effectively broadened market scope and approved IPC on vendor list of the Egyptian Power generation market with the Egyptian government and Ministry of Electricity & Renewable Energy. This qualification for construction services is part of the governments 5000 MW annual expansion program. Under his direction, Tarek managed to further the company's reputation in potential tenders in Egypt.
•Proficiently carried out the sales operation and arrangement 701D gas turbines of the EPC Project of 255 MW combined cycle of Siemens power generation in Chile, with potential increase to 358 MW
