Accountable for the Distribution business for the Sub-Areas (Dammam/Khobar/Qatif). To formulate and implement business strategy and plans for Sub-Areas in alignment with the overall objectives for the Operating Area.
Review operating and capital expenditure requirements as well as annual budget details in order to provide sub-area level inputs for the overall OA budget.
Review organization structure and process related to the area of operation, initiates and reviews studies and implements changes to optimise workings of reporting functions.
Contribute towards effective implementation of integration and amalgamation strategies and process set by the Executive Management and facilitate the same for Divisions and Units.
Review business progress for the Divisions and Units on a regular basis, discuss deviations from plan, provide support on critical issues and ensure corrective action is taken where necessary to optimise business performance.
Review requirements for system planning, network maintenance, load management and power quality within the Sub-Areas and ensure the Planning and Engineering activities are managed effectively.
Monitor customer service for the Sub-Areas, ensuring high standards are maintained and the requisite support from the function at the OA level is received.
Monitor the operations and maintenance work on the systems and networks in the sub-areas, ensuring system downtime is kept to a minimum level.
Prepare reports and present business progress status to OA management, answer questions related to business performance and seek their intervention or views on critical matters.
Ensure HSE policies and standards are communicated and implemented across the sub-areas and monitor compliance on a regular basis.
Participate in as appropriate the recruitment, training, development, management and motivation of reporting staff (direct and indirect) and encourage them to ensure high levels of motivation and commitment.

Accountable for world class service to all customers in southern area ( more than one million), reducing the power disconnections times and durations, increasing sales, eliminating income loss “technically & commercially”, maintaining safe operations.

Accountable for the Distribution business in the southern Operating Area (25% of Saudi Arabia). Formulate and implement business strategy and plans for the OA Distribution business to ensure maximum profitability and revenues.
Holding Full responsibility of Southern operating area in terms of operation, maintenance, engineering, construction, planning, customer services. More than one million customers served by 2400 employees distributed in 6 departments.

Formulation and implementation of the business, technical strategies and plan as befitting the business line’s needs.

Lead the process of capital budget preparation (annual and five-year time horizons); ensuring the budget plan reflects the business strategy set for the Operating Area.

Plan and implement programs and events reflecting these ideas. Provide expertise to customer service sections in carrying out their programs.

Accountable for the Distribution business in the eastern Operating Area (25% of Saudi Arabia). Formulate and implement business strategy and plans for the OA Distribution business to ensure maximum profitability and revenues.

Ensure high technical and engineering standards and effective performance of power networks and systems up to 69 KV in the eastern province.


Projects management (Yearly 2 Billion S.Riyal) being responsible for execution of all Major Customers projects / System Improvement projects at voltage (33-69) KV. Responsible for construction works in the area including cable laying, O/ H erection, substations and customer connections in the area at voltage (33-69) KV. Responsible for installation of energy meters for Major customers. Responsible for ihe contractors and their Pre-qualification. Resolution of site problems.

Accountable for the cost-effective management of the isolated generation plants (36 sites), up to 50MW installed capacity in one site. Monitor performance of isolated power plants from technical and engineering standpoints, and, plan and implement scheduled maintenance for these plants to ensure good performance. Ensure that all isolated generation plants are operated at optimal costs. Coordinate with Transco and Distco’s engineering groups to connect these isolated power plants to the network in order to reduce operational and maintenance costs.

Plan and implement maintenance, system planning, improvements and other similar large projects to facilitate high quality distribution of power and electricity. Provide overall support on technical aspects, operations, maintenance, engineering and construction to the operating area through engineering expertise and timely decisions. Drive and direct the engineering of large jobs, asset relocations and system improvements within approved guidelines. Review criteria for reinforcing existing distribution networks.

Coordinate with System Control and Protection Engineering on equipment, protection schemes, maintenance standards and policies. Prepare effective contingency Plan in case of Protective equipment failure to resume the system to its normal conditions in the minimum time.

Coordinate IT services including SAP, AMM( Apply Meter Management), DAS( Distribution Automation System), GIS ( Geographical Information System), and FFMS( Field Force Management System ). along with ensuring the infrastructure compatibility of connections and size. Ensure that areas have the required technical support and support IT and Telecom applications and develop operating areas needs. Study and evaluation of technical offers of the tenders preparation and setting of protection schemes, coordinate inspection and testing of materials.

Evaluate all Distribution materials and equipment submittals by vendors to ensure they are up to approved specifications and standards.

Review organization structure and process related to the area of operation, initiate and review studies and implement changes to optimise workings of reporting functions.

Lead the process of capital budget preparation (annual and five-year time horizons); ensuring the budget plan reflects the business strategy set for the Operating Area. Ensure effective management of contractors working on distribution related projects for the Operating Area.

Review system requirements (past trends and future estimates) in order to carry out system planning at regional level, ensuring that key parameters such as cost and capital requirements are considered. Lead the planning and decision-making on new projects related to electrification. Plan, Engineer, design and costing of all Major customers new supply projects of medium tension networks underground and Overhead lines with 13.8 KV system.

Plan and implement marketing and market research programs to facilitate enhancement of the OA Distribution business. Ensure these plans are in line with the overall strategy recommended by the Customer Services and Affairs Group
Define quality standards, ensuring standards, policies and procedures are implemented effectively throughout the region, and generate creative ideas to enhance customer service and to strengthen the customer affairs services function. Plan and implement programs and events reflecting these ideas. Provide expertise to customer service sections in carrying out their programs
Implement load management and energy conservation plans at the regional level to support the overall distribution strategy
Supervise personally the key accounts and government clients in matters of billing, accounting or any other customer service issues to ensure they are provided prompt and quality service.
Coordinate regulatory relations with relevant authorities for smooth working. Maintain professional contacts to ensure timely completion of regulatory formalities

Plan and implement marketing and market research programs to facilitate enhancement of the OA Distribution business. Ensure these plans are in line with the overall customer service strategy recommended by the Customer Services and Affairs Group
Seek inputs from customer services sections within the Divisions and Units to decide priorities for the year, communicate plans and programs to them and ensure effective coordination between own department and these sections
Define quality standards, customer service policies and procedures and
implement the same. This would include ensuring that these standards, policies and procedures are implemented effectively throughout the region
Generate creative ideas to enhance customer service and to strengthen the customer affairs services function. Plan and implement programs and events reflecting these ideas. Provide expertise to customer service sections in carrying out their programs

Formulate the business strategy and plans for the Distribution business in the Sub Areas, in line with the strategy and plans defined for the Operating Area. This would include seeking relevant inputs from Section managers
Review business plans presented by Sections and Units and help them to align their respective plans as per the overall OA strategy
Review requirements for system planning, network maintenance, load management and power quality within the Sub-Areas and ensure the Planning and Engineering activities are managed effectively. This would include ensuring and obtaining the required support from the function at OA level
