My Role is to Act as the guardian of strategy and strategic planning process for the Tasnee business. competitive landscape and industry outlook. Translate petrochemicals strategy into a set of strategic initiatives and actions. Also responsible for running the strategic planning process, including long-term planning, strategic planning, and strategy reviews
•Established The Strategic Planning Department At Tasnee Co.
•Introduced The Balance Score Card Concept (BSC) Throughout Tasnee Co. and its Affiliates.
The Responsibility and Scope of the Strategic Planning Department:
- Planning
>Organize the updating of the corporate strategy based on the inputs of the affiliates and the corporate management.
>Analyze and issue the consolidated annual plan and the outlook for 5 years based on the input of our affiliates through the functional organization incorporating the corporate outlook including risk assessment and mitigation.
>Analyze the consolidated quarterly reports based on the corporate results through the functional organization, incorporating the Company outlook based on the forecasts for the business environment.
>Adapt Sustainability as a concept at all Corporate levels
- Mergers & Acquisitions
>Monitor - through the efforts of corporate and outside resources - the business environment and potential M&A targets locally and internationally.
>Carry out preliminary evaluations of potential targets and evaluate initial possibilities with due considerations to corporate financial and other resources.
>Coordinate the corporate efforts in case of deciding on a certain M&A target.
- Special Assignments
- Managing the company for high returns to the shareholders (SAIC is a public company listed in the Saudi Stock market, established 1986).
- Initiating, planning and executing new projects.
- During 2007, SAIC succeeded in raising its Capital from SR108 million to SR432 million (300%), with proceeds that exceeded SR630 million.
• During 2007, SAIC Joined OIG (Obeikan Investment Group) to form OGC (Obeikan Glass Co.) for the production of Float Glass, a SR 600 million project. SAIC share is 40%.
- At the end of 2008, SAIC acquired 20% of NPS, National Petroleum Services Company. NPS is specialized in Oil and Gas well services. It owns more than 15 Companies in the same field that operate in the GCC, ME, Europe, Africa and other Countries.
- SAIC has moved from accumulated losses in 2006 to continual accumulated (or retained) profit.
- For the first time in 22 years SAIC distributed dividends to shareholders in H1 2009.
• Product development researcher at the polystyrene department.
• Executed several research assignments under polystyrene product development project.
• Synthesis Team Leader for Two years. In charged of Polystyrene Laboratory safety, equipments and other requirements such as planning and distribution of manpower.
• Planned and executed several technical support assignments for the polystyrene plant at PETROKEMYA, Jubail Industrial Area.
• Participated in several committees.
