Looking after the overall functioning of a regional Spice Health Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory located at Rajouri Garden, Delhi specializing in RT-PCR Covid testing. Responsible for the analysis of the results and acting as the authorized signatory on the reports. Also involved in the training of the lab personnel and apprising them about the new techniques.
Visiting Assistant Professor at Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad. I was involved in teaching Nutritional and Clinical Biochemistry to M.Sc. and B.Sc. students and supervising their practical classes.
Worked as Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Biosciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Taught Biochemistry, Biochemical Techniques, and Bioinformatics to Ph.D., M.Sc. Biochemistry and M.Sc. Bioscience students. Apart from this, I am also involved in active research in the field of cancer therapeutics. I also supervise Master students in their yearly project dissertations.
Worked as National Post-Doctoral Fellow on the project entitled “Identification and expression analysis of novel isoforms of some genes associated with cancer in presence of bioactive compounds: a bioinformatics and molecular biology approach” at Genome Biology Lab, Dept. of Biosciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. During my tenure as PDF, I have successfully elucidated anticancer properties of some bioactive compounds on several cancer cell lines, and have also identified novel isoforms of some important genes such as PTEN, RB1 and manuscripts have been communicated for publication. Apart from my duties as a post-doctoral researcher, I was also involved in teaching Master students of Biochemistry and supervising their practical classes.
Worked on project entitled “Identification of transcript isoforms of NSAIDS associated genes and their expression analysis in mouse”.
Experience in guiding a number of M.Sc. (F) students in their Project dissertations.
Experience in teaching practical classes of M.Sc. (P) and B.Sc. Biochemistry.
Thesis title: Molecular and biochemical studies with polyphenols and analysis of some affected genes in mice.
