• Serve as Mechanical engineer for all matters related to construction quality assurance of all mechanical works.
• Review Material Submittals in compliance with project specification and requirement.
• Review of calculations for ESP, Pump Head
• Review, approve and process all shop drawings, builders work drawing, co-ordination drawing, pre-qualifications for contractors, method statements to carry out the works in liaise with project specification and local authority requirement.
• Reviewing As Built drawings & Project close out documents like training manuals, O & M Manuals.
• Monitor the mechanical works for conformance with the provisions of the Design, Contract Documents, Procedures manual and in compliance with international and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of all mechanical activities and operations at site.
• Receive/action Request for Information (RFI) received from contractor related to mechanical works
• Coordination with electrical and civil departments.
• Identifying areas of quality failure and taking steps to rectify the system wide preventive and corrective actions to avoid the reoccurrences.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company
Policies
• Support the successful delivery of high-quality projects on time and to budgets without compromising the quality in liaise with project contract documents.
• Carrying out testing and commissioning of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting system & Equipments.
• Assist with the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch list, snags. Monitor final completion of the work & preparing progress reports.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reporting to the Technical Manager.
• Assisting and advising the Technical manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, quality, and the like.
• Evaluating and reviewing design documentation, drawings, and specifications and raising RFI to meet design requirements.
• Raising RFI’s related to technical/co-ordination as well as commissioning requirements
• Performing Static pressure calculation for AHU, FCU, and FANS.
• Preparing shop drawing for Central Processor of the project.
• Preparing schedule and Selection of VAV-CAV&TMD for complete project.
• Preparing schedule & Selection of FCU, BCU, AHU, PICV, SOUND ATTENUATORS, VRV System.
• Reviewing Revised Bulletins from Consultant for new Equipments & informing Commercial department for impacts.
• Site co-ordination and assistance / Support to the execution team to solve any co-ordination / Engineering related problems.
• Preparation of Schematics and flow diagrams for air system for Central processor.
• Preparing IFC Mark-up drawings (Furnishing all RFI’s) for preparing BIM Modelling.
• Interaction and correspondence with the BIM (Building Information Management) to resolve problems before freezing the model to submit shop drawings.
• Attending Design meetings with Client, Consultant and Main contractor.
• Co-coordinating and Technical proposals on briefing packs design changes with BIM department.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Review of Tender documents, drawings, pre-bid & post bid clarifications, technical proposal, project technical specifications, identifying the scope of work.
•Preparation of Drawings, material submittals & Method of statements.
•Pump Head calculations, Equipment selection & schedules.
•Reviewing Pipe Stress Analysis calculations & preparation of shop drawings accordingly.
•Preparation of Piping fabrication drawings, Weld maps.
•Assisting in preparation of ITP, WPS.
•Preparation and updating of material & drawing submittal schedule.
•Material take-off, Vendor selection & initiating purchase orders
•Inter services co-ordination
•Liaison with other services, Contractors, Consultant & Client.
•Monitor the material delivery & ensure timely availability at site.
•Inspection of materials received to ensure conformity with approved submittals and project requirement.
•Assisting Construction Manager in preparing the monthly progress reports.
•Assisting Project Planner with assessments of completed works and activities.
•Assisting the Project engineers during Installation & Testing and Commissioning.
•Comparing scope of works with site Instructions, changes in drawings/scope and making claim for the variations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Review of Tender & Issued For Construction (IFC) Drawings, Specifications, Design computations, B.O.Q for HVAC & Plumbing, LPG.
•Identifying the scope of work and review of material specifications, determining code requirements and all other technical requirements.
•External Static Pressure calculations for AHU, Fresh & Exhaust air fans.
•Pipe sizing, Pump Head Calculations for Chilled water Primary, Secondary & Distribution system, Condenser Water System, Side Stream Filtration system and Booster Pumps.
•Guiding to AutoCAD Draftsman for the preparation of HVAC Shop Drawings, Plumbing Drawings, MEP Co-ordination Drawings, Builders Layouts and getting approvals from the consultant.
•Selection of Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Sidestream Filtration Units, Chemical Dosing System, Expansion Tanks, Air Separators, Valves, Chilled Water AHU’s and FCUs, Fresh air & Exhaust air fans, Grills & Diffusers etc as per specifications & requirements.
•Preparing Technical Submittals & Method Statements and getting approvals from the Consultant and also preparing the documents for Sub-contractors & 3rd party agencies approval.
•Preparation of Material Take off(MTO) and preparing indents for Equipments, Pipes, Valves, Fittings, Supports, Ducting, Grills, Diffusers, Dampers etc and following up with the Purchase department for the procurement of the same, preparation and updating of Material control chart for project.
•Preparation of inquiries and follow up with Vendors and Sub-contractors for necessary documentation.Planning and Tracking of Equipments, Materials and Resources with Suppliers & Contractors.
•Submission of the As Built drawings for consultant and client approval.
•Preparation, Submission of Operation & maintenance manuals & Training Manuals.
•Detailed monitoring of project progress and Sub-contractors throughout the execution and Commissioning.
•Assist the Construction Manager in preparing the monthly reports.
•Assist the Project Planner with assessments of completed works and activities.
•Implementation of HSE Rules & Regulations.
•Testing and commissioning of the system
•Assisting with the final inspection of work, preparing snag list, monitoring completion of work, and preparing reports, clearing snag lists for handover to Client.
