• Responsible for the translation quality of outgoing official correspondence and press releases of the Public Works Authority’s Doha Expressway Programme.
• Translating agreements, contracts, official correspondences, financial statements, feasibility studies, technical memorandums, meeting minutes, and various material on the projects of the Programme.
• Writing press releases for publication via online and print-run newspapers, copywriting slide show presentations for management meetings, press and print advertising brochures, and marketing materials for publication on websites, social media … etc.
• Compiling dictionary of terminology and information to be used in translations including legal and or technical terms.
• Supporting project parties to ensure proper project related documents are produced.
• Check translations of legal and technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions.
• Performing any other tasks as required by management to facilitate the smooth running of a small business e g database work translation activities etc.
• Supporting the work of the team by attending meetings as required and serving as interpreter simultaneous or consecutive - Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices and apply the same for continuous improvement at KBR.
• Referring to reference materials such as dictionaries lexicons encyclopedias and computerized terminology banks as needed to ensure translation accuracy Requirements.
• Supporting the production and creation of communication materials, including presentations, online media, newsletter content, advertisements, and so on for all relevant parties within the Programme.
• Act as a liaison between foreign experts, who supervised the transformation program, and ministry and government officials, and prepare and translate periodic reports on the implementation of the program's action plan and KPIs based on information obtained from different departments and business units.
• Supervise a team of 10 translators and interpreters responsible for performing translation and interpretation tasks for the program.
• Providing high quality legal, economic, commercial, technical, and architectural engineering translations, as well as simultaneous interpretation in high profile ministerial meetings, conferences, and training workshops.
• Translating legal contractual agreements on supply of spare parts, construction of new facilities, and establishment of new affiliated companies.
