• Main responsibilities are Planning and Execution of the events. I am mainly concerned with the IT requirements and technical aspects of the occasions.
• During planning and requirement gathering phase one of the core duties is to advice the project managers about the technical solutions considering most cost-effective and practical implementation.
• Setting up the welcome desk equipped with Computers, Internet, Printers, Barcode-scanning system and CRM application for live authentication of Guest-invites, Press-people and other VIPs.
• Setting up press-room, making sure all the necessary computers, printers and applications have been provided.
• Setting up talk’s area with PA system where the presentations and discussion happen. The arrangement cover 200 audience.
• During normal days of work manage, create and backup emails and groups services. Manage LAN, Internet, AP wifi, etc.
• Interact with staff on desktop problems and their resolution.
• Maintain computer peripheral devices like printers and resolve associated problems.
• Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence. Supervising other staff, such as help-desk technicians.
• Communicating with vendors for any warranty issues.
• Communicating with vendors for procurement matters.
• Communicating with 3rd party technical support for server issues and new features.
• Interact with staff on desktop problems and their resolution.
• Install and test desktop software applications and internet browsers.
• Test computers to ensure proper functioning of computer systems.
• Maintain computer peripheral devices like printers and resolve associated problems.
• Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
• Supervising other staff, such as help-desk technicians.
• Communicating with vendors for any warranty issues regarding Laptops, PC and Printers.
• Help in maintaining servers, routers, scanners, copiers and workstations.
• Aid in upgrade of network servers and user computers.
• Create new Windows user accounts and assemble computers for new employees.
• Assist in quality assurance of current software.
• Create and update software documentation.
• Maintain adequate inventory of hardware and software licenses.
• Add to the help-desk knowledge base with clear/concise/detailed entries.
• Identify, research and resolve technical issues for users.
• Front line help-desk support for local/remote staff as well as software support for clients.
