The foundation stage focuses on helping children to achieve early learning goals. My duties include:
• motivating and stimulating children's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience;
• providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn;
• developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources;
• organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources;
• assisting with the development of children's personal, social and language abilities;
• supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication;
• encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play;
• developing children's curiosity and knowledge;
• working with others, including teaching assistants and nursery nurse as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors;
• sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents;
• observing, assessing and recording each child's progress;
• attending in-service training;
• ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery or school;
• Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
• Conducting creative and fun learning for children aged 2.5- 3.
• Undertaking activities with all students to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development.
• Carrying out planned educational activities and programmes of learning whilst promoting independent learning.
• Providing high standard of care and educate working within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Encourage acceptance and inclusion of all children and use appropriate skills to adapt activities necessary to meet the needs of all students.
• To develop action plans where necessary to support children’s learning.
• To participate in assessments of and preparing reports on children’s work and development.
• To contribute to the social and extra curriculum activities of the nursery and assist with the organization of such as required.
• Taught subjects in the primary national curriculum at grade 1 and grade 2. Subjects included English, maths, science, music and art.

• To help the children get access to psycho-social support services, or seek appropriate assistance for them when this is not possible.
• To insure the children are complying with proper health and hygienic procedures.
• Conducting health awareness campaigns for the children and youth in schools and community centres.
• To be knowledgeable regarding the children’s whereabouts at all times.
• To enforce appropriate, approved, discipline when necessary. (The children are never to be struck or deprived of food, clothing, school fees and shelter.)
• To communicate with the Trust Coordinator regarding all issues of importance.
Family and consumer science is a broad field, covering diverse topics including nutrition, child development and family finance. A bachelor's degree program in family and consumer science provides students with a broad understanding of human development, consumerism, and community functions. Curricular stresses the value of family in society, and teaches students how to improve consumer and community services. Programs offer concentrated studies within the major or a dual-degree option in a related field of study, such as nutrition, hospitality management or childhood education.
