Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out repairs and maintenance of domestic hot/cold water system, cooling water systems, storm and sanitary sewer system, irrigation and fountain water systems and swimming pools.
Attends to repairs or replacement of all bathroom/toilet fixtures in guestrooms, public areas and back of the house areas.
Carries out fan coil unit services in guestrooms, shops, public areas and offices.
Cleans all manholes, clearing sewage and storing water line blockages using snaker machine or other means as required.
Carries out electric arc or oxy-acetylene welding.
Repairing and maintains functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery, such as pumps, compressors etc.
Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work in the hotel premises, including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
Responding to a guest maintenance request within 15 minutes on receipt of the same.
Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest or public areas.
Ensures that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Checks log readings and assure proper operation of equipment and machinery in the hotel on a continuous basis.
Carries out daily testing and water treatment of various water systems.
Records and distributes maintenance orders to craftsmen of different trades and supervise for the proper completion of jobs.
Carries out energy conservation and control in order to reduce energy costs in the hotel.
Carries out plant preventive and routine maintenance.
Maintains proper conditions of all equipment rooms.
Maintains log records of all important information pertaining to operation of plant and engineering personnel on his assigned duty.
Assists HLP Supervisor to train POMEC staff for the efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
