Operate as a Health, Environmental and Safety Auditor/Advisor on the 10 MODU’s that Chevron has contracted working in the Gulf of Thailand. Responsible for reviewing contractor operations and procedures to ensure they meet or exceed Chevron requirements.
Investigation of incidents using WHY-Tree Analysis and Top Set. Participating in BBS System and monitoring PTW System.
Responsible for conducting CHESM Audits, Level 3 Audit (Chevron-Nigeria and Korea) and Rig Acceptance and Compliance Audits for new rigs that Chevron has brought into the Gulf of Thailand as well as Annual HES Audits conducted on the rigs operating in the GOT.
Responsible for all aspects of the Health, Environmental and Safety Programs including HAZOP, HAZID and development / implementation of SSERP. Developing HSE Case and H2S Programs. Investigation of incidents using WHY-Tree Analysis and Tap Root programs. Developing Dual Rig-Construction-Production Standing Instructions and Bridging Documents. Implementing and monitoring PTW System. Was involved in monitoring SIMOPS and CONOPS for Drilling, Construction of Pipelines and Production. Conducted Audits on New Builds and existing rigs in Arctic.
• Responsible for establishing and implementing Operational and HSE procedures for Total Safety UK, Europe, Russia and West Africa. This includes audits to insure compliance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS (ISO) 18001.
• Ensuring all personnel understood and actively participated in their health and safety obligations including completing STOP cards, assisting in safety awareness programs, in-house training and safety evaluations.
• Formulation of written and verbal operations procedures and standards to ensure compliance with customer and local authority health and safety standards.
• Responsible for all aspects of the Health, Environmental and Safety Programs for the Kazakhstan Division located in Tengiz, Kazakhstan.
• Reported to Chevron Management on HSE Matters regarding Tengiz Drilling Operations. Member of the Tengiz Emergency Response Team and the Accident Investigation Team. Advised TSS GM as to Legal and Medical issues.
• Worked with the DEQ, EPA, U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and Dept. of Transportation (Natural Gas Dept.) concerning their guidelines and permits for water, gas, sanitation and wetlands.
• Implemented Safety Procedures with guidelines under OSHA.
• Responsible for Safety Operations of Gas Services Division
• Responsible for all aspects of the Health, Environmental and Safety Programs for the Nigerian Division. This included working in Warri Nigeria and Port Harcourt, Nigeria with Shell West, Shell East and Escravos Chevron.
• Developed HSE Case, CASHES Program and Emergency Procedures for Nigeria. This included creating and implementing an Emergency Evacuation Plan with the American Embassy, for the expatriates working in Nigeria.
• Kept the General Manager advised on Legal and Medical issues and responsible for HAZOP and HAZID.
• Responsible for the safe operation of Warri Base, Port Harcourt Base, Rig 72, Rig 73 and Rig 74 which encompassed around 600 personnel.
• In 1998 we achieved a 0.0 LTA Rate with over 1.2 million Man-Hours worked.

I was responsible for 13 land rigs, about 200 personnel and would assist the offshore division when requested.
