• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
• Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide analysis to support decision-making
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. Ensure proper classification and recording of transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Perform cost accounting activities, including calculating and analyzing product costs, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation
• Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
• Oversee accounting software systems and tools
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
