Worked as a foundation year and preparatory course instructor in the Arabian Gulf University. Taught classes of 20 students as part of a course leading up to an IELTS test, and eventually the first year of Medical school. Also, taught general English to underprivileged students in the main HQ for the American Cultural and Educational Centre. Currently teaching legal and business English to private students.
Taught all skills in a student focused and interactive way. Used the experience gained via his MA course in TESOL and linguistics to deliver pedagogical thoughtful lessons.
Currently relishing the opportunity to help his students succeed in their lives, and enjoying his role as educator and motivator to his students wherever he teaches.
Previously worked as a teacher covering the following courses; Business English, General English, Young learner, English for Specific purpose, Technical English.
During this time, worked onsite in the European Centre private institute, offsite in Saudi Arabian Petroleum company, TASNEE Company and the Institute of Public Administration. Taught classes of 10-30 students, ranging from high school graduates to government employees and accounting personnel.
Previously worked full time as an English teacher to numerous levels of abilities, ranging from absolute beginners to intermediate/IELTS. Class sizes ranged from singular student occupancy to large groups such as twelve individuals.
Developed into an important member of the team, offering a unique rapport focused teaching experience to my students. Learned many new techniques and skills from my fellow, more experienced coworkers, which were put into practice during my lessons.
Gained valuable experience in the IELTS examination system and its teachings using books such as IELTS Foundation by Macmillan. Taught between four to six hours a week in this particular area of English language learning.
Masters of Arts degree TESOL and Linguistics 2011-2012 from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. TEFL International TESOL Certification, Course graduated with Grade B / borderline A.
