Description of the activities
➢ Implement the patient support strategy in Chikomba and Gutu through liaising with stakeholders.
➢ Mentor primary counsellors and nurses and community volunteers in patient support activities related to counselling, children support, health education, defaulter tracing, and community awareness.
➢ Ensure regular and complete data collection and monitoring as well as compiling reports.
➢ Prepare and conduct trainings for Ministry of health staff and community volunteers according to needs.
➢ Participate in the assessment and the planning of responses to emergencies according to needs (community meetings, awareness campaigns and psychosocial support.)
Plan, budget, write proposals, and effect the annual evaluation, the annual action plan and the budget for the patient support activities

Duties and responsibilities
➢ Promote joining and forming of HAART support groups.
➢ Organise and carry out sessions for children and their guardians
➢ Participate in the assessment, planning and implementation of responses to emergencies according to the needs
➢ Data collection and compilation for health promotions and Counselling activities.
➢ Ensure treatment preparedness to individual PLWHA, their families and community before HAART initiation.
➢ Provide trainings to peer counsellors in the district.
➢ Community sensitisation on healthy issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
➢ Conduct post test support counselling as per protocol
➢ Providing basic counselling to PMTCT and TB clients.
➢ Provide ongoing Supportive counselling to New Life clients and ➢ Assist clients in selection of appropriate community support
➢ Refer clients appropriately to other post test support services
➢ Accurately collecting and recording data from sessions
➢ Attending community outreaches
➢ Any other duties as assigned by the New Life manager
