Designed a revolving workstation to eliminate waste motions in a packing assembly line which results in manpower savings. Designed a pack scanning system for sock packing to eliminate wrong accessories and missing pack cases. Before implementation, designed a simulation of MS Excel to check feasibility. Developed a mechanism to issue & return accessories to the shop floor to eliminate inventory points on the shop floor and save manpower to distribute accessories to the floor.
Worked on optimization models related to location-allocation and solved the models through cplex.
Worked on healthcare resource location-allocation model incorporating consumer choice and its uncertainty using almost robust optimization as thesis. Published a paper as second author in flexible services and manufacturing journal titled Choice-driven location-allocation model for healthcare facility location problem.
