Deliver English language instruction to A1-A2 Foundation students. Develop and revise lesson plans and curriculum to meet learners needs. Provide remediation during non-teaching periods to assure trainees don’t fall behind. Ensure learning outcomes and objectives are in alinement with lesson plans. Prepare evaluations to assess student comprehension of objectives. Use educational technology to meet learning needs. Create a learning environment that is fun, culturally sensitive, and successful for all students. Attend daily or weekly academic curriculum and departmental faculty meetings.
Develop students' foundational skills in English to ensure they achieve B2 or higher language level proficiency. Observe and evaluate ESL students' work to determine progress and make suggestions for improvements. Establish clear objectives for all English lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by Saudi law and/or administrative policies. Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, abilities, and interests.
Responsible for the operation, integration, and coordination of the classroom. Deliver direct group and one-on-one educational instruction to 24 ESL students. Assesses needs and serves as the focal point for gathering and disseminating information concerning the student’s academics.
Responsible for supporting High School Teachers in designing, implementing, and enforcing student’s targeted learning objectives and behavioral goals. Assisted Lead Teacher in preparing lesson plans. Provided direct one-on-one and group educational instruction to ESL and special needs students. Collected, compiled, and organized information about students’ educational progress and behavioral problems. Administered and assessed students’ coursework and tests. Modified assignments, learning materials, and equipment to meet specific academic needs and learning styles.
Aided grade 2 thru 12 teachers in instructing academic subjects. Provided one-on-one and group educational instruction. Assisted students in developing self-help, gross motor, and social skills. Administered and assessed student assignments and exams. Tutored high school students after school in reading to increase and develop literacy skills.
Worked one-on-one with students, parents, and staff to discuss educational standards, activities, policies, and students' behavioral or learning problems. Coordinated with daycare teachers, parents, and students to set individual learning goals to promote success. Corresponded with district teachers and administrators within the Tacoma Public School system to increase students’ academic achievement.
Provided educational, personal, and professional development services for at-risk youth ages 12-18 in a group home setting. Insured registration of all new residents for school by meeting with school officials to arrange any special needs programs required. Worked with school personnel, guardians, social workers, and probation officers to achieve educational and treatment plan goals.
