Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Needs from Zimbabwe Open University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and expertise to cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in Inclusive Education, which has deepened my understanding of inclusive practices and how to create an inclusive learning environment for all students. This program has also allowed me to stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of special education, enabling me to constantly improve my teaching methods and provide the best support to my students.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I also possess sports training qualifications, which have been instrumental in promoting physical activity and social skills among my students. I strongly believe that incorporating sports and physical activities in the curriculum can have a positive impact on the overall development of students with special needs.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with students with various disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and physical impairments. Duties: Manage a caseload of students that receive special education services to access the general education curriculum. Develop and implement and monitor individual educational plans, functional behavior plans and behavior intervention plans designed to promote educational and social development for students with learning disabilities. implement strategies to meet the needs of students appropriate methods of learning delivery and instruction in the least restrictive environment. Coordinate special education services and serve as the primary contact for the parent and collaborate with various teams to assure positive outcomes for all learners. Communicate with students on instructional expectations to keep them informed of progress. Plan and implement appropriate instructional or learning strategies and activities, an appropriate level of materials, the variety of instructional materials and multimedia and computer technology to enhance learning. Develop and implement curriculum, project-based learning, student-directed learning activities and enhance lessons using various technology platforms. Conduct small group and individuals classroom activities based on differentiated learning needs.
