Key Tasks: R & D - Development of smart grid advanced metering infrastructure using wired and wireless technologies
• Wired solution provided by using power line communication (PLC) for the advanced metering
infrastructure (AMI)
• Top-down PLC channel used for transfer function analysis
• PLC channel operated up to an extended frequency range of 100MHz
• Multi-carrier modulation (OFDM) used for combating the deficiencies of power line communication channel
• Includes advanced metering infrastructure to transform the traditional grid into smart grid

• Used water-filling algorithm for power allocation in PLC.
