Keeping three gas chromatographs and their detectors up and running, instructing graduate students on their proper use, determine appropriate columns and methods for various species, devising applicable sampling techniques, ordering necessary calibration gases and assisting with calibrations, keeping logs on usage of each machine and ensuring any scheduled maintenance is performed as required on time.
