>Managing entire post shipment activities of import clearance of all sub groups of Bayer Pakistan which includes Bayer Health Care, Bayer Cropscience and Bayer Material Science.
>Imports include pharma grade chemicals finished goods, raw materials and agriculture pesticides sourced from group and third party vendors.
>Preparing Import PO's in SAP as per received PR and seller indent /Sales contract or pro forma invoice.
>Checking & preparing documents in compliance with ministry of health, department of plant protection for smooth clearance from customs.
>Checking and calculating for HS codes duty benefits as per corresponding SRO's.
>Dealing with Bank, Shipping lines, custom clearing agents and 3PL providers specially for cold chain logistics for temperature sensitive cargo equipped with data loggers.
>Maintain and provide weekly reports to BU heads for all import KPI's through MIS reporting which includes. PR Vs. PO date, Delivery Vs.GR date, IGM Vs.Clearance dates.Goods in transit and under clearance.
>Opening of Bank Contract, LC and their subsequent disbursement upon maturity.
>Prepare monthly cash flow import payment report for funds allocation.
>Coordinate with materials management, warehousing, Controlling, production & B.Us for effective supply chain functions & operations required for timely procurement & supply of Agro Chemicals, Hybrid seeds and agriculture pesticides, Raw/Packaging Materials, Finished Goods, Machinery/Equipment & services (Imports & Local Purchase).
>Ensure execution of purchase requisition, floating of RFQ, creation of purchase orders as per time frame and quality requirement, specifications and ensure compliance as per procurement SOP.
>Develop and delivered as per Procurement KPI Budget Price Vs. Current PO price. Explore saving in Procurement due to best price negotiation.
>Developed alternate cheaper source, strong negotiation with vendor. Increase contract / Catalog based Procurement to promote automatism through SRM.
>Ensure timely availability of production material to avoid stock out and subsequent manufacturing plant down time. Float of RFQ to vendors and prepare CS.80% target achieved as per set KPI for PR Vs. PO date and due date Vs.GR dates during 2012.
>Part of team assigned for rolling out of new version of SAP (BAY4S) and responsible for managing/updating entire vendors master for Bayer Pakistan & Medipharm Lahore Plant.
>Looking after the inbound physical supply of direct materials (COGS) to production plant sourced from foreign and local vendors. Ensure procurement/sourcing should be well aligned with production time line, material factory required date and total lead time.
>Opening of Bank Contracts and LC’s, check adherence with ICC publication number 522 and UCP 600 and subsequent retirement upon maturity with coordination of F&A. Liaison with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, clearing agent for consignments timely shipments and clearance.
>Proper follow up of the formalities laid down in the various SRO’s related to Agro Chemical industry. Provide shipment tracking for goods in transit to industrial operation and supply chain department.
>Prepare reports and replies to Govt. Agencies like ANF, LTU, Custom Collectorate, FBR and Department of Plant Protection.
>Timely replenishment of stocks based on the critical material plan, sales & production plans and upside demands.
>Ensured full compliance of buyer programs, requests and amendments on each assigned order, this involved periodic reporting of progress on each order with quantity, quality and specification details; checking of export documents; correspondence with vendors, buyers, banks and shipping lines.
>Designed the itemized process flows of all trade products after coordinating with all personnel of export department.
>Assisted in all banking requirements from LC lodgement to final acceptance and disbursement upon maturity.
Performing complete reviews of all trade products which include Letter of Credits, Bank Contract, Letter of Guarantees, Export Refinance, Post shipment, Pre shipment and Import loans, etc.
>Deal with shipping lines, freight forwarder and air lines for booking and execution of shipment, both export and Import for CFR, CPT and FOB cargos.
