Responsible for the Planning, Financing, Reporting, Taxation, Business Development /Investment decision making, Legal, Negotiations, Execution for Investments and Divestment, Oversee Legal and Compliance and Risk Management matters.

Headed the finance function of the Assam & NE circle finance function from project stage and handled the finance function. Responsibilities included

• Financial & Performance reporting of the circle.
• Budgeting & performance tracking. Drive initiatives to deliver plan business objectives in terms of Revenue Targets, EBIDTA, Subscriber base
• Raise & obtain Capex approvals, Track Capex spend, Ensure materials & execution of projects to meet the roll-out schedules, initiate clearances from various authorities.
Contributions:
1. Set up the finance function in the circle starting from recruiting the finance & comm. team (14 people), obtaining clearances & registrations, putting processes for execution of the project, finalizing Channel partners, launch tariffs, sourcing the back-end processes.
2. Achieved high rating of control & compliance in Bharti for the two circles ( 5th position) among the 23 circles.
3. Revised standard infrastructure acquisition policy to have an enduring cost savings.
Financial Services Manager (May’02 - Nov’2004)
Handled the following responsibilities:
1. Sales accounting of the UP Unit
2.Credit control & AR management.
3. Control Selling & Distribution Costs of the Unit (32% of the Sales price)
4.Product Pricing for Channels & Trade Margin fixation.
5.Sales Tax returns, assessments for unit.
6.Monthly financial closures & audits.
Key responsibilities covered ensuring robust S&D processes relating to
•Appointment of distributors, their ROI/viability
•Controlling S&D spends, exercise budgetary controls,
•Controlling the Discount processes
•Impact credit-sanctioning & recovery process, ensure zero bad debts.

1.Chairman’s award for “Outstanding Contribution to Profitability Agenda” in 2004.
2.Delivered “Best-in-Class” selling & distribution cost in PepsiCo India, an improvement of 23% over YAGO, by impacting each element of the S&D costs.
3. Implemented SAP - S&D module in Feb’04 at UP Unit, before being rolled out nationally.
4. Improved the AR sanction & recovery process, reduced the avg. credit of from 7 to 5 DOS (days of sales).
PepsiCo India: Plant Accounts Manager
Headed the Finance, Commercial & logistic functions at manufacturing & distributions operations of PepsiCo India.
Responsibilities included
• Financial Reporting, Compliance & Control.
• Business Planning & Budgetary Control
• Central Excise & Sales Tax, other statutory compliances
• Materials Planning, Procurements, Logistic.
Apart from the above, handled various special assignments contributing significant productivity improvement & cost savings for the company.
