Job Responsibility:
Total management of IT function encompassing computing and communication starting from conceptualization, monitoring development, implementation and ongoing support which are mainly classified as
• Strategic Planning and Budgeting new initiatives to cope up with current and future business needs
• Formulating of IT strategies and policies in consonance with business strategies
• Designing disaster recovery plan, security measure and its enforcement
• Vendor management starting from evaluation to job assignment and post assignment performance review
• Team management activities including hiring, appraisals & motivation.
• Ensuring IT service delivery on time
• IT operation management
Key Achievements:
• Successfully implemented Infor’s Syteline ERP solution on Progress RDBMS in a discreet manufacturing and continuous production environment
• Implemented Shop-floor automation using Production Process System - a real-time production monitoring, scheduling and reporting system.
• Implemented various independent systems and integrated them with ERP using best-of-breed approach such as HRMS, QC system and Maintenance Management System with statistical analysis
• Designed, documented and implemented business operation manual, Workflow of various Business Processes and document preservation policy with adequate controls and audit trail
• Designed and implemented IT security policy, Installed NAC device that embeds security in the network infrastructure and manages the heterogeneous network environment with centralized control.

Trumac - Indian division of German multinational Truetzschler GmbH designs and manufactures plants and machineries for textiles industries.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overall management of IT functions.
• Managed System analysis, designing, development and implementation of business applications on SUN’s Solaris, SCO Unix, Digital’s PDP-11 and window platform.
• Interacting with user panels, to identify current, hidden and potential future IS needs
• Involved in budgeting, planning and procurement of IT Infrastructure as required.
• Implemented and managed smooth operation of the Symix ERP system.
• Supervised Hardware and network service support ensuring availability of IT Service.
• Responsible for all System & Database Administration as well as Application operation.

Key Achievements:
• Successfully implemented Symix ERP solution on Progress RDBMS and Sun’s Solaris, synchronizing various business activities, reducing product cycle time and achieving process standardization. (1992-94)
• Change the data processing practice from batch processing mode to on-line interactive mode in 1994
• Migration from Digital’s PDP 11 to Sun Solaris and structured cabling in 1993
• Established communication channel between offices in India and Germany for data transfer using GPSS protocol in 1995
• Developed and implemented conventional systems on PDP-11 computer such as Inventory Management, Bill of material and shop floor scheduling, Manufacturing and inventory Costing, Invoicing and Financial accounting and Payroll (1987 - 91)
