• Ensuring all works on site are carried out as per approved & updated drawings & project specifications.
• Checking scaffoldings & formworks before concrete pouring.
• Checking all steel works as per shop drawings.
• Checking dimensions of beams, columns, and stairs and openings sizes as per approved architectural drawings.
• Ensuring proper quality of concrete as per mix design specs, considering vertical and horizontal structural members.
• Ensuring all embedded electrical, HVAC, plumbing and firefighting sleeves are placed at proper locations.
• Checking all block works as per approved drawings.
• Inspecting the site to ensure desired quality is being achieved.
• Performing a variety of inspection functions under supervision.
• Coordinating with the consultants to ensure that inspections are carried out in smooth and timely manner.
• Preparing requests for inspection (RFI), where required providing sufficient notice for Hold, Witness and Inspection points.
• Carrying out inspections on items where quality is compromised as mentioned in consultants inspection comments.
• Providing technical support to the construction staff with regards to project quality specifications.
• Maintaining record of all activities carried out and inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCR) reports, etc.
• Ensuring implementation of all HSE requirements of the project are followed on site i.e. PPE, work Permits etc.
• Maintaining records of all quality compromises/ consultants comments in all inspections.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Successfully carried out the inspection of all civil related works.
• Maintained complete records of all civil works inspections, material submittals, NCRs, site instructions, daily, weekly & monthly reports.
• Carried out inspection and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract specifications.
• Successfully identified potential safety concerns and informed those to the contractor`s engineer.
• Implemented the site supervision quality procedures successfully on site.
• Reviewed contractor’s method statement for execution of the works and assisted contractor to implement Resident Engineer`s comments.
• Reviewed contractor’s technical submittals and communicated any comments related to submittals to contractor.
• Attended site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters.
• Reviewed construction documents and reported design and contractual discrepancies with the Resident Engineer.
• Ensured that all statutory authority permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
• Raised non-conformance reports (NCRs) & site instruction (SI) on non-conformances at site by contractor.
• Identified quality deficiencies & reported them to Resident Engineer.
• Reviewed the corrective actions on those non-conformances by the contractor and closed the NCR.
• Supervising survey and all its related operations.
• Checking of plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Ensuring that all materials used and works performed are as per company and project specifications.
• Make cost effective on site solutions for emergency situations as required all while maintaining the quality standard that represents the company.
• Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of the progress.
• Day to day supervising of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the works by Subcontractors.
• Overseeing quality control and HSE on site.
• Preparing accurate, concise and timely reports on a monthly basis and as required by management.
• Reporting to the Project Manager regarding construction programs, works, issues, risks, deadlines, etc.
• Maintaining record drawings, technical reports, site diary and work log.
