I commissioned the first Podiatric Clinic in the Outpatient Department of Hamad Medical Corporation. My Main Responsibilities were to provide Podiatric Services to guests (patients) in both in/out patients units of Hamad Hospital. My main focuses were 1) Preventive Foot Health and 2) Diabetic Foot and Wound Care, PLUS General Podiatric Services such as: Orthotic Therapy, Nail Surgery, Sports Injuries and Pediatric Podiatry.
I obtained both a BSN and a MS prior to entering a Podiatric Medical School for five years. I spent the first three years studying courses in all the basic medical sciences with an emphasis in the final two years, on disorders affecting the feet, ankle and lower leg and various types of treatments involved. These courses were coordinated with clinical training in universities and hospitals. Upon completion, I obtained a DPM - Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. I then had to take Comprehensive Board Exams, as well as licensing exams (first, Florida and then New Jersey), before becoming licensed to practice.
