Responsible for and involved in the design and construction supervision of a large range of projects including
• Dam, Embankment and Landslides Remedial Work Projects
• Motorway, Highway, Road, Bridge and Airport Projects
• Religious, Educational, Hospital, Office, Sports and Industrial Buildings, Towers and Infrastructure Projects
• Oil, Gas & Water pipeline projects
The various activities I have been participating as a team member as well as team leader related to geotechnical design and construction aspects of a number of projects are succinctly listed as follows:
-Reconnaissance visits to sites for on-site appraisal of site conditions
-Top supervision of field geotechnical investigations including drilling, sampling and in-situ testing
-Design & top supervision of Piling, pile load tests, plate load tests and interpretation of test results
-Field/Laboratory data evaluation for soil/design parameters and settlement/compression estimation of foundations
-Design and construction supervision of shallow as well as deep foundations
-Preparation of comprehensive geotechnical investigation reports
-Preparation of Tender drawings and proposals
-Slope stability and Seepage analysis in soils and rocks
-Liquefaction potential assessment
-Dynamic deformation analysis of slopes
-Primary and secondary settlement / compression estimation of foundations
-Design of anchors/tie backs on soils & rocks and supervision of tests on anchors
-Preparation of financial and technical proposals for geotechnical investigations
-Preparation and supervision of grouting programme in various soil and rock conditions.
-Designing of erosion protection works, under drainage system for hydraulic structures, preparation of specifications and finalization of layout of the dam and other appurtenant structures such as sedimentation basin, intake etc
-Preparation of excavation drawings for the embankments, dam, intake, sedimentation basin, stilling basin collecting canal and other appurtenant structures
-Preparation of optimum/economical subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs including top supervision
-Review of contractor’s method statements and proposals
-Technical advice on geotechnical issues at construction and post construction stage
Responsible for preparation of BOQ & tender drawings, Evaluation of Tenders, Preparation of Engineer Estimates and Monthly progress reports, Supervision of field geotechnical investigations including drilling, sampling and in-situ testing, Supervision of pile/plate load tests and interpretation of the results, Construction supervision of shallow as well as deep foundations, Organize quality of work according to site requirements, Check the running/final invoices submitted by contractors according to work and specifications.
