Position: Business Development Executive

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Generate enquiries through the effective identification of potential customers, understand their business requirement and present the company's product and services in a manner that translates in to business for the company.
2. Forward rate enquiries to the sales support team for timely preparation and provision of quotations, proposals and rate filings while checking for updated company profiles before submitting it to the customer.
3. Follow up on all quotations provided to customer/prospect and effectively carry out re-negotiations, clarifications, amendments, and credit approvals (if necessary) to ensure acquisition of business.
4. Understand customers /prospect requirements clearly, receive written approvals on quotations and prepare accurate SOPs/ handover sheet before forwarding the same to the customer services / operations department for order processing.
5. Provide support to the finance department for the timely receipt of outstanding payments from local and overseas customers.
6. Liaise with customers and relevant customer service personnel to enquire about service satisfaction and offer timely support in resolution of all queries, thereby maintaining profitable relationships between the customer and company.
7. Source and analyse market information on competitor activities as well as service providers (airlines, shipping lines, etc) to help maintain the company's competitive edge in products, pricing, services and systems.
8. Ensure effective use of Danzsale tool, by preparing weekly sales plan, update of sales visits reports within 48 hours of the call, updating OMM's, on identifying an opportunity and updating the respective business status.
9. Support trade lane managers, in trade lane development, by providing date on customers for preparation of CST's (incoming/ outgoing)
10. Support all sales campaigns on trade lanes/ products launched in the country by sourcing new customers.
11. Prepare and provide reports as required by the territory Sales & Trade lane Manager in a timely and accurate manner and adhere to all company policies and procedures as applicable.
