Associated with all mechanical inspections activities on Static Equipments, Process Piping and Pressure Relieving Devices for assuring their mechanical integrity & reliability.
Internal, On-stream and External inspection of the Piping/Equipments with relevant API/ASME codes & standards and Sahara Inspection procedures.
Various static equipments familiarized are columns, Reactors, Pressure vessels & Drums, Exchangers, Storage tanks, Steam Boilers, Incinerators, ancillary equipments etc.
Leading, performing as static equipment Inspector & coordinating inspection activities with Inspectors, and reporting to the Inspection Engineer.
Preparing and Issuing Field Inspection Reports (FIR) and Inspection reports (IR)
Providing long term and short term recommendations, based on the Plant situation and keeping the tracking record for periodic review and implementation.
Determining expected Damage mechanism on different materials to rule out the possible material degradation with the past inspections and operation/process histories and updating in MERIDIUM.
Uploading Inspection reports (IR) and periodic thickness readings (TML/CML) to Inspection Management (IM) & Thickness Management (TM) in MERIDIUM.
Calculating and reviewing the corrosion rate (CR) - long term & short term- of equipments to record their remaining life (RL) in MERIDIUM.
Providing recommendations related to welding on various materials
Coordinating and Controlling conventional and advanced NDE methods like RT, UT, MT, PT, ET, Video Boroscopy, MFL, Faced Array UT, IRIS etc
Reviewing the results with relevant codes and standards for the NDEs, PMI, PWHT, Hardness tests etc.
Attending pressure tests for the process piping & Equipments with ASME B31.3, Sec VIII Div I & SAHARA Inspection procedures.
Witnessing the calibration of Pressure Relieving Devices - PRVs / PSVs /Breather valves - and ensuring proper overhauling, repair and Calibration
Responsible for controlling various sub-contractors in terms of Quality related to Steel Structure, Steel Piping, RTR Piping, Equipments, Pressure vessels, Welding, NDE, Painting, Insulation etc.
Attending Weekly QA/QC progress meetings with Owner and Subcontractor representatives.
Conducting subcontractor Quality Audits and attending Owner Audits based on QAP and Quality Management System.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing ITP’s, Method Statements, Quality Control Procedures etc. according to CODEs, Standards and project specifications.
Preparing and reviewing WPS and PQR of different sub-contractors for piping and structural welding works as per ASME Sec. IX, AWS D1.1 & D1.4.
Reviewing hydro test packages and witnessing pressure tests for final handing over documentation as per the contractual documents.
Conducting Line Inspections, Punch clearing Inspection, Hydro test, Pneumatic test for both Above Ground and underground steel and FRP Piping.
Witnessing Mechanical Completion and walk through inspections upon completion of each system based on project system classification.
Controlling and monitoring Non-conformities (NCR) and Surveillance Reports (SSR) and clearing in coordination with construction and owner representatives.
Handling and clearing Technical Queries in discussion with Field engineering Dept.
Preparing and reviewing Final Handover Documents and QA/QC dossiers for final handing over of the project.
Witnessing Welding Procedure & Welder Performance Qualification Tests and approving welders for various welding processes for different sub-contractors.
Performing Weld visual Inspections and NDE activities at fabrication shop and site client representatives.
Responsible for quality control inspection of various Static and Rotating Equipments during their installation process.
Coordinating NDE (RT, MPT & PT) Inspections between sub-contractors and client & reviewing Radiographic Films for piping and storage tank welding.
Witnessing Welding Procedure & Welder Performance Qualification Tests and approving welders for various welding processes for different sub-contractors.
Coordinating Weld visual Inspections and NDE activities at fabrication shop and site with Inspectors and client representatives.
Witnessing Line Inspections, Punch clearing, Hydro test, Pneumatic test for both AG and UG steel and FRP Piping including wrapping and coating inspections.
Responsible for quality control inspection of various Static and Rotating Equipments during their installation process.
Conducting various inspections for steel storage tanks like Vacuum Test, Oil Leak Test, Hydro Test, Leak Test, Water Filling Test, Painting, etc. as per API 650 & API 620.
Coordinating NDE (RT, MPT & PT) Inspections between sub-contractors and client & reviewing Radiographic Films for piping and storage tank welding.
Witnessing Material Receiving Inspections for piping components, equipments and accessories
Preparation of WPS/PQR, Quality Control Plan, Inspection Test Plan and work procedures etc.
Reviewing material certificates as per project/clients/ material specifications and physical inspection of materials.
Preparation of weld history sheet, parameter records and dimension reports.
Interpretation of drawings, welding symbols and dimensional inspection
Monitoring and controlling of activities like electrode baking, pre heating, PWHT, inter pass temperature.
Coordinating NDE (RT, MPT & PT) Inspections between sub-contractors and client & reviewing Radiographic Films for pressure vessels and storage tank welding
Preparation of Hydrostatic test package and procedures complying with standards and specification.
Preparation of Project Quality Plans for various Equipments.
Co ordination with various clients and company for the monitoring of Quality control activities.
Welding performance, Welding procedure qualification (Experience in P-4, 8, 9A, P-45 materials)
Incoming material inspection including valves, Pipe, plate and all kinds of pipe fitting, piping Specialty components
Weld visual inspection, NDT results interpretation
Piping line inspection, hydro test witnessing, Involved in Pre-Commissioning activities, Final Reinstatement Inspection.
Mechanical and Dimensional Inspections of Pressure vessels and storage tanks (roundness, Peaking & Banding, Plumpness…etc)
Erection of Pressure vessels(H&V), Heat exchangers(Shell & Tube, Air cooled)
Installation, Alignment of Rotary Equipments like pump, blower….
