Did my PhD in Industrial Sociology with the research Topic on 'Workers Participation in Management - A case of Quality Circles in a Public Sector Undertaking '. The study was conducted to understand the impact of giving greater autonomy to the workers to solved the on the job problems and the levels of satisfaction in the workers and also the turnover and the health of the industry at large . This particular study was conducted by drawing a sample of workers from from Bharath Heavy Electricals Limited who were involved in the process of forming on the job work groups and facilitation by the top management in achieving the objective . Workers Participation in Management is based on the concept of Quality Circles which promoted by the Japanese .
