Gathering medical records, patient information, patient's vital signs and provides care to the patients.
Substantial knowledge of basic eye care and ophthalmic nursing procedures.
Preparing and assisting Ophthalmologist in various ophthalmology procedures like Eyelid Suturing, Chalazion and Pterygium Surgery. Assisting also in eye laser treatments.
Performing different ophthalmic examinations such as Refraction, Optical coherent topography ( OCT), Pachymetry, Visual Field test and Eye pressure checking using NCT and Tonopen.
Administering or preparing eye drops to the patient for further evaluation as ordered by the Doctor.
Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments.
Provide the patient with some basic education about the procedure itself and the post-operative expectations.
Assigned also in Dermatology/Aesthetic Department assisting the Doctors in botox and filler injections, cautery, platelet rich plasma (PRP), biopsy punch and skin laser therapy.
Rotated in Dental Department assisting the Dentist in scaling, composite filling, tooth extraction, and root canal treatment. Also assisting the Orthodontist in braces adjustment.
Prepares the room and equipment for surgery each day. And cleaning up after each patient or after the surgery.
Developing X-ray of patient's mouth for the Doctor to examine.
Ensure safe disposal of all clinical waste.
Recording and documenting care and procedures rendered to patient.
Performing administrative functions such as setting up patient appointments and assists in insurance and paper works.
Maintain skills and knowledge by participating various nurse education programs, seminars and staff meetings.
Assigned in OPD (Outpatient Department) General Medicine, Ophthalmologist, Pediatrics. Assess and document various clinical conditions and vital signs of the patients. Obtaining medical history of patients and communicate to the consulting physician.Administer prescribed medication such as oral, subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection and records changes and response of the patient. - Follow all policies and protocols of the clinic.
Assisting Dermatologist with performance of Dermatologic procedures like Warts removal, Corns removal, Skin tags removal, Nail surgery for ingrown toe nail, Molluscum removal, Mesotherapy, Laser hair removal, Skin biopsy, Electro-Cautery and Chemical Peeling.
Helps patients through the treatment of wounds, injuries, and diseases of the skin.
Also work in TREATMENT ROOM at the same time and performs various patient tests, administer vaccines, draws blood sample, and administers medications and IV fluids within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
