Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare the Unit and Admission of the Patient to the Emergency Room /ER
* Evaluation and recording the patient conditions
* Initiate patient assessment to determine immediate care needs
* Collect information on patient
* Determine the standards of care needed to develop care plan
* Perform nursing interventions as required
* Document patient progress
* Supervise care provided by other nurses
* Manage injuries and other emergency situations
* Assists in Various procedure like Intubation, Chest Tubes Insertion, Internal Jugular, Insertion Foleys Catheter Etc, .
* Provide bed care nursing care
* Prepare the Patient for various investigations like Xray, ECG, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and etc.,
* Monitor Vital Signs and Report to the Physician
* Collections of blood samples, evaluate and record the results
* Attending surgical procedures in ER theatre
* Maintaining aseptic techniques and following standard quality care
* Ambulating nurse care during transportation
*Participating in various training programs and seminars for Registered nurses .
* Responsible for providing safe quality nursing care to people in the community .
* Makes initial assessment and evaluation of patients
* Monitors vital signs and Medical information of the Patient
* Carry out the prescribed medical treatment and procedures for each patient and work closely with physicians and other healthcare staff.
* Promotes patient education and also communicate with the family to apprise them of patient’s condition.
* Prepare the patient and Equipments for various types of procedure
* Collect specimens such as Blood, Sputum, Stool and Urine and also Record Laboratory results
* Provide oxygen therapy and Secretion suction if needed
* Monitor any Untoward reactions of the Patient and report to the Surgeon
* Provide nursing care for Pre and Post Surgical patients
* Use Universal Aseptic Techniques during wound care and dressings
* provide physiological support to the Patient and relatives and educate how to manage their wounds / injury
* Participate in various training programme and seminars for Registered Nurses
* Assist during deliveries and provide cord care to babies. Promotes patient education and also communicate with the family to apprise them of patient’s condition.
