My prime responsibilities are Engineering/GIS/CAD application technical support for Design Engineers and CAD staff. Key objective is to troubleshoot and solve Engineering systems issues and queries. Provide work around if the issue is not resolved and escalate the same with vendor by submitting and following up Service tickets, Change Request, Bug Report etc. A knowledge base is maintained with such work around and solutions. Other key activities included resolving and maintaining software license and any related issue. Lead in data migration of inter-linked CAD/Design data between various servers. Application installation, configuration and maintenance are done and tracked through IT Service manager application for new users and system refresh. Creating, implementing and maintaining regional GIS/CAD/MX standards and Best practices for MENA Region. Maintain technical documents for Engineering Design Standards. Set up Geotechnical database using ArcGIS and gINT. ProjectWise and Bentley SELECT site administrator, managing user accounts, PW environment customizations and updating new software/patch releases. Other responsibilities include GIS data compilation, writing LISP routines and scripts for automating various designs and drafting functionalities for 250, 000+ drawings. Assist users with identifying, organizing and providing online/instructor based training. Attend technical conference, webinar to identify new technology and solutions. Creation and updation of Projection, Coordinate system and Datum definition in FME which is used for Geodetic Transformation of CAD data and Satellite Imagery are also done based on project requirement.
My prime responsibilities are GIS data compilation, writing Avenue Scripts (GIS), LISP routines, Alignment sheets, Profiling, strip maps, generating Contours & Elevation/Terrain-Models, Crossing drawings, Bathymetric data compilation, Earthworks/Volumetric Computation, Topographic survey, Geodetic Transformations, Underground utilities detection, Survey data processing, ABGPS Processing, GPS post-processing adjustments, QC etc. using ESRI, AutoCAD, Bentley and Survey Tools. Setting up of GCP, RTK GPS survey for topographic data collection and updation are planned and executed.
Responsibilities includes GIS Application Design and Development using ESRI, MapInfo and Autodesk suite of GIS products. As and when the requirement arises, Topographical Survey, Thematic Map compilation, Base map updation, Project Estimation, Presentations, Demonstrations, Risk Analysis and QC were also done. I also demonstrate application developed to clients. I was also a trainer / technical support for MapInfo suite of GIS products.
