Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders
Establish Project Quality team and develop Project Quality Plan with details of quality practices, resources and sequence of activities relevant to a particular contract/project
Establish key procedures, method statement, ITP and monitor implementation
Establish Quality Audit schedule for each project encompassing the specific project requirements
Appraise vendor’s capability to provide suitable product/service
Convene pre-inspection meetings and approve inspection and test plan and procedures
Maintain cordial relationship with Client Representative and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed and fulfilled
Ensure project KPI’s are defined, measured, monitored and actions implemented for any identified gap
Manage a team of QA/QC engineers, Coordinators, Inspectors and/or Document Controller(QA/QC) as relevant to support the quality activity
Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to QA/QC team
Plan, organize, monitor and control the day-to-day inspection activities of QA/QC team assigned in respective shops / sites
Ensure that project QA/QC team manages project quality assurance requirements from quality planning, documenting plans and procedures, training and implementation, surveillance and audits, monitoring quality trends, corrective and preventive action, reviews and reports etc
Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel
Monitoring the subcontractors and ensure that all activities are integrated in line with approved documents & ISO requirements.
Monitor Subcontractor quality performance and report and schedule meetings to resolve specific interface issues
Monitor and analyze Customer Satisfaction
Analyze quality information (audit results, process / product non-conformities, feedback etc.) and identify corrective and preventive actions
Conduct internal audit, management review periodically to ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System.
Coordinate all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management
Control all non-conformance reports and close out corrective action by verifying follow up meeting
Control and the distribution of all the companies quality documentation
Controlling of field test reports, statistical records of inspection and testing activities
Monitor and ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System
Recommend and implement improvements when required
Compile monthly reports, KPI’s and submit to management
Provide feedback to the management about project execution, subcontractors and vendors quality assurance performance
Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
In case of serious deficiency during the execution of a contract notify the project manager and initiate an unscheduled audit
Ensure proper planning and notification for inspection visits of QC team (planned and unplanned)
Gather best practices and lessons learned from completed/on-going projects and ensure corporate quality assurance system documents are improved
Assess quality tools and techniques available in the market including systems and procedures of Clients and competitors for their suitability for adoption as best practices
Mentor and develop QA team to the highest professional and performance standards through appropriate training and certification
Provide feedback on performance ratings, career growth potential, salary and other compensation changes, termination and recruitment/hiring of QA team
Fully conversant with codes & standards like ASME, API, TEMA, BS, ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001
