- UK Export Finance is the operating name of the Export Credits Guarantee Department (ECGD). It is the UK’s export credit agency (ECA), helping exporters and investors by providing credit insurance policies, political risk insurance on overseas investments and guarantees on bank loans. UK Export Finance works closely with exporters, banks, buyers and project sponsors and have 90 years’ experience of supporting exports to, and investments in, markets across the world
- Responsible for setting up financial facilities, developing business & maintaining relationship with banks, leasing companies, corporates, trade associations and government entities in Europe, Middle East & North Africa (MENA) and Central Asia region
- Making the business community aware of the availability of export credit opportunities provided by UKEF and identifying instances where UKEF’s support & credit terms could materially improve UK exporters’ chances of winning business
- Supporting the sale of capital & semi capital goods as well as services by UK exporters though the use of UKEF’s financial products (e.g. Supplier Credit Financing Facility, Buyer credit facility, Direct lending scheme, Lines of credit, Export insurance policy, Bond support scheme, Bond insurance policy, Export working capital scheme, Letter of Credit Guarantee Scheme, Overseas investment insurance, Debt conversion scheme)
- Facilitating the set-up of project financing facilities (including Build-Operate-Transfer or Public Private Partnership models) which might, for example, involve the purchase of gas turbines, building a waste to energy plant, construction of a petrol refinery or hospital and supporting creditworthy sovereign or public bodies as well as corporate overseas buyers & project sponsors

- Ensure portfolio quality, effectiveness of the credit collection process and regulatory compliance
