FORUT Sri Lanka is a Norwegian based Non Governmental Organization working towards social development (most of the CSRs of profit making entities) in Sri Lanka.
I was attached to Policy Division and the Programme Division worked under 2 Directors helping each other and carried out the organizations documentation requirements in all its operational matters. i.e wrote concept notes to funding agencies, programme proposals, and periodical reports to Norwegian counterparts and local government authorities. Attended meetings of the Management and kept records of its dealings, minutes action plans, policy decisions, administrative matters etc. A brief to my work goes as;

* Writing/editing, Concept Notes, Programme Proposals reports in connection with all programmes undertaken by Programmes division ie.Gender and development (GAD), Gender Based Violence ( GBV), Gender Economic Empowerment (GEE), Child Rights Protection and Promotion (CRPP), Alcohol, Drugs & Development (ADD)
* Commissioning of Evaluators, Participatory Assessment with Management.
* Research work on Waste Management and prevention of Environmental Hazards.
* Project Cycle Management in association with programme staff ensuring adherence to documentary records of the programme cycle.
* Translations of programme material (Programme concepts, leaflets, handouts, promotional quotes) - Sinhala/English and vice versa.
* Attending to all correspondence of Programme Director independently.
* Taking down Minutes at Management and Extended Management Meetings as well as Donor Agencies and Programme division and submitting notes one the decisions made and actions necessary.
* Writing and editing enhancing progress reports in keeping with donor/government institutions' requirements ensuring their quality presentations.
