Duties & Responsibilities:
The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport assigned Transpo Group to supervise the deployment of an integrated ITS infrastructure in city of Al Ain and its vicinity, which will include providing centralized monitoring and control of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), field equipment and provide a network platform for future expansions to support the deployment of additional ITS applications. I am the Quantity Surveyor of the project to manage all cost related to projects from calculations to the final numbers.
Responsible for work package project cost, including forecasting and budget cost;
Providing detailed record and monthly evaluations of work progress including financial report and forecasting cost.
Monitor and keep track of the project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, agreement for interim payment and the final account;
Value work executed by contractor and certify interim payments along with attached supporting/backup documents;
Preparing Monthly report (completed monthly activities);
Determination of changes due to variations from client
Monitor and keep track of Site Inspection Request (SIR) of the project related to interim payment;
Monitoring for carrying out feasibility for number of materials delivered on site (Material inspection request).;
Advise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costs;
Preparation and submission of several work related to project cost;
Develop and maintain working relationships with the contractors and subcontractors;
Negotiate with the contractors related to project progress.
Work as part of the team to endure that the requirements of the client are delivered.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client undertaking cost analysis for project work;
Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders;
Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs.
Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations.
Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.
Preparing requirements for Mechanical works document for ADDC & Municipality application for approval.
o Filling up the forms for daily water demand calculation (details of internal distribution system), water meters schedule each project as per ADDC requirement.
o Preparing, checking, submitting drainage riser sizing, rainwater (Rainfall), water tank calculation each project as per standard technical specification of ADDC/ Municipality requirements.
o Writing reports regarding ADDC requirement approval.
o Monitoring, modifying and following up with our Senior Mechanical engineer regarding ADDC requirement approval.
o Assisting Senior Mechanical Engineer for all documents required for ADDC and Municipality requirements.
Preparation of tender bid proposals.
Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product.
Identification of all requirements during estimation.
Estimate the type and amount of materials necessary to deliver the contract against the tender specifications.
Estimating the cost of plant and equipment;
Working with Managers and Planning Engineers to help predict the timescales of a project, which has a considerable bearing on costs;
Calculating a final figure for the estimated cost, supplemented by adjustments for overheads and profit, and presenting a tender price.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with team members
Material received against allowed BOQ quantities sheet updating.
Dealing with the following CCTV Brand:
Infinova, Bosch, Axis, Sony, Pelco and Samsung CCTV Camera
Evaluating tender documents, drawings, & schedules
Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers
